Portable Arrested for Alleged Threats Against Saheed Osupa

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has been arrested by the Kwara State Police for allegations of criminal defamation, threats to life, incitement, and character assassination against fellow artist Saheed Osupa.

 The arrest occurred in Abeokuta on Saturday following a petition filed by Osupa, who accused Portable of using offensive language that could incite violence and harm his reputation.

The Kwara State Police confirmed that an arrest warrant was obtained from a Magistrate Court in Ilorin before Portable was apprehended. A statement from the police spokesperson, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, revealed that Portable was taken to Ilorin for further questioning. His statement was recorded in the presence of legal representatives from both sides, and he is currently in custody awaiting court proceedings.
