The Plateau State Government has launched an official investigation into the reported poisoning of 36 cows in Bassa Local Government Area.

 Authorities are urging residents to remain calm as inquiries continue.

The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday around 4:30 PM near Tafi Gana junction, where cattle were grazing. Reports suggest that garden eggs laced with poison were scattered across the area, leading to the death of at least 36 cows, with 42 more affected.
