Over 20 Million Nigerians Living with Mental Health Conditions
The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that an estimated 20 million Nigerians representing about 20% of the nation's population are currently battling mental health challenges.
This alarming statistic was highlighted by Dr. Azubike Aliche, Secretary of the Board of Trustees for the Nigeria-American Institute for Mental Health (NAIMH), during a recent mental health training session held in Owerri, Imo State.
