Osimhen Reacts to Losing CAF Best Player Award to Lookman

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has gracefully accepted Ademola Lookman’s triumph as the CAF African Footballer of the Year, acknowledging that the award was never truly his but just his turn to hold.

Speaking about Lookman’s victory, Osimhen said: “It was never my crown, it was just my turn to wear it... He (Lookman) really deserves it.”

The Napoli forward, who won the award in 2023, showed great sportsmanship, praising his Super Eagles teammate for his outstanding performances.
