Nnamdi Kanu Denies Involvement in 2020 #EndSARS Protest Destruction

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has strongly denied any involvement in the 2020 #EndSARS protests or the destruction of properties in Lagos State. 

His denial was made through a video played during his ongoing trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.

The prosecution, led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Adegboyega Awomolo, continued its case with the testimony of a second witness, an agent from the Department of State Services (DSS). 

As part of the proceedings, the court viewed a video from July 17, 2021, where Kanu was interviewed by DSS operatives at their Abuja headquarters. During the interview, Kanu was asked if his broadcast on October 20, 2020, had incited violence and destruction in Lagos.
