Nigeria’s banking sector recorded a major shift in service delivery with commercial banks shutting down 229 physical branches nationwide as customers increasingly relied on Point of Sale (PoS) terminals for everyday financial transactions.
This was revealed in the 2024 Financial Sector Statistical Bulletin released by the Central Bank of Nigeria
