Nigeria Urges U.S. to Reconsider New Three Month Single Entry Visa Rule

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern over the United States decision to reduce non‑immigrant visa validity for Nigerian citizens including B1/B2 (business/tourism), F (student), and J (exchange) visas to single-entry with just three months of validity .

The Nigerian government notes this move places an undue burden on legitimate travelers students, professionals, businesspersons, families, and cultural participants despite the two nations longstanding cordial relations.

Foreign Minister Kimiebi Ebienfa said the policy appears inconsistent with the principles of reciprocity, equity, and mutual respect.
