Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana Excluded from US 2025 Visa Waiver Programme
The United States has released its updated 2025 Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) list, and once again, Nigeria, South Africa, and Ghana are not included.
The newly revised list features 40 countries whose citizens can now travel to the US for business, tourism, or transit without needing a visa.
While this update simplifies travel for millions worldwide, many African nations have been left out. Notably, Romania has joined the list this year, while Taiwan and the UK remain eligible under specific conditions.
The countries included in the 2025 VWP are mostly from Europe, Asia, and Oceania, such as France, Germany, Australia, Japan, and Qatar. However, no African country has been added to the programme
