Nigeria Omitted as FIFA Announces Hosts for 2030 and 2034 Men's World Cups
FIFA has officially confirmed that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 Men’s World Cup, while Spain, Portugal, and Morocco have been designated as the joint hosts for the 2030 tournament. This announcement has drawn attention to Nigeria's conspicuous absence from the list of host nations.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the World Cup, three matches in the 2030 tournament will also take place in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, the original hosts of the inaugural tournament in 1930.
The decisions were finalized during FIFA’s Extraordinary Congress on Wednesday, with representatives from all 211 member nations participating via video link.
