Nicki Minaj is making it clear that she has no plans to apologize or back down from her support for President Donald Trump.

In an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Minaj explained why she feels a personal connection to Trump, saying she sees him as grounded and authentic.

“Every time I see him… he’s just himself. He’s very grounded. It’s easy to connect with him.”

She continued:

“It’s easy to feel like he heard you. He understands you and I just love him.”

Minaj also made her position clear, saying she is “not going to ever make excuses for that.”

Her political support for Trump has drawn both attention and criticism, but she says she intends to stand by her views.
