New Wave of Infrastructure Projects: Tinubu Approves Over N787bn and $651m for Major Road Works in 13 States

President Bola Tinubu has sanctioned a comprehensive investment in road infrastructure, with approvals totaling over N787.14 billion and $651.7 million earmarked for highway projects spanning 13 states across Nigeria.

Following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday, Minister of Works Dave Umahi briefed the press on an array of updated and fresh contracts aimed at revitalizing Nigeria’s road network.

Among the highlighted projects is the revision of the dualization plan linking Akure through Eta and Ogbese to the Ekiti border, extending to Ikere and Ado-Ekiti. According to Umahi, approximately 15 kilometers of the 18.4km route will be completed with a revised budget of N19.4 billion.
