NDLEA Nabs Former Footballer for Alleged Cocaine Trafficking at Lagos Airport
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a former international footballer at Lagos airport for alleged involvement in cocaine smuggling.
Meanwhile, at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA) in Enugu, NDLEA officials apprehended Ezenwaka Chibuzor Emmanuel, a 38-year-old bar attendant residing in Maputo, Mozambique. Emmanuel was reportedly found with 17.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 3.05 kilograms of cocaine hidden in his luggage.
He had arrived in Nigeria on June 27 from Johannesburg, with a layover in Addis Ababa.
