NDLEA Arrests Ex-Convict with Methamphetamine Hidden in Speakers

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended Ndubuisi Udatu, a 41-year-old former convict and Malaysian returnee, for attempting to traffic methamphetamine concealed within music speakers. 

The arrest took place on Monday, April 7, 2025, at an NDLEA checkpoint in Namtari, along the Ngurore-Yola road in Adamawa State.

Udatu, also known as Richard, was traveling in a commercial bus when officials discovered two large speakers containing four parcels of methamphetamine weighing 2.7 kg.

 The drugs were intended for distribution in Yola, Mubi, and even across the border into Cameroon. Additionally, N22,300 was recovered from him during the arrest.
