NDLEA Arrests Businessman with 53 Pellets of Cocaine Inside Stomach en Route to Iran
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted a 44-year-old businessman, Ezemokwe Chukwuebuka, for attempting to smuggle cocaine by ingesting 53 pellets of the banned substance.
According to NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, Chukwuebuka was apprehended on Saturday, June 7, at Port Harcourt International Airport as he was preparing to board a Qatar Airways flight (QR1434) to Tehran, Iran, with a stopover in Doha.
A body scan revealed the presence of the drugs, prompting officials to keep him under observation. He subsequently excreted a total of 53 wraps of cocaine in six separate sessions, weighing a combined 1.172 kilograms
