NAPTIP Launches Investigation into Allegations Against ECWA Pastor

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual assault against Rev. Nashon Azaki, the senior pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Wuse II in Abuja.

The allegations claim that the pastor has reportedly transformed into a "sexual predator," harassing female staff members of the church with the intent to exploit them sexually.

NAPTIP Public Relations Officer, Vincent Adekoye, confirmed on Thursday, February 20, 2025, that the agency received a petition from concerned church members regarding the alleged sexual assault. While Adekoye refrained from naming the accused, he stated that all parties involved have been invited for interrogation, and the agency has committed to conducting an unfettered investigation.

“A petition was written to the Agency on an allegation against somebody in ECWA church. All parties in the matter were invited for interrogation, and further investigation continues,” he said.
