Mr Macaroni Reacts to Calls for Nigerians to Unfollow Silent Celebrities

Popular Nigerian comedian and activist, Mr Macaroni, has reacted to a viral post urging Nigerians to unfollow celebrities who remain silent on social issues.

The post suggested that public figures should use their platforms to speak up, but Mr Macaroni disagreed, stating that change does not rely solely on celebrities. He wrote:

> "I would never endorse a post like this!!! Please do not ask celebrities to make sacrifices the people themselves are not ready to make. Celebrities are citizens like you. If the majority of the people are quiet, why should we blame celebrities?"

He further emphasized that not all celebrities wish to engage in activism, and it is unfair to manipulate them into speaking on issues they may not be comfortable with.

> "We can’t force people into advocacy simply because their line of work has made them famous. Even when we speak, we get attacked!"

Mr Macaroni, who has been vocal about governance and human rights in Nigeria, concluded that when Nigerians truly desire change, they will take action themselves instead of waiting for celebrities to lead the movement
