MARK CARNEY FIRES BACK AT ELON MUSK OVER CALLS FOR CANADIAN PROVINCES TO SEPARATE

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has responded to Elon Musk’s calls for Quebec, Alberta, and Saskatchewan to break away from Canada, insisting that the country’s future must be determined by its own citizens.

“The future of Canada will be decided by Canadians,” Carney said, adding that Canadians should be free to make their own choices without interference from foreign governments or major technology companies.

The controversy began after Quebec’s new premier reportedly said his dream of Quebec independence would one day become reality.

Musk responded on X, declaring that Quebec should separate from Canada, arguing that the province would be better off on its own. He subsequently extended his comments to Alberta and Saskatchewan, saying both provinces should also separate.

However, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe offered a brief response to Musk’s suggestion: “No.”

The exchange has reignited discussion about Canadian unity, provincial independence, and the role of influential foreign business figures in another country’s political affairs.
