Lagos Shuts Down Lekki Restaurant

The Lagos State Government has closed a well-known restaurant in the Lekki area after two of its employees were caught dumping waste illegally by the roadside.

According to a statement shared on social media by Muyiwa Gbadegesin, Managing Director and CEO of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, May 18, 2025. 

The agency was alerted by the Chairman of the Lekki Estate Residents Association, who reported the unlawful dumping of refuse on Durosimi-Etti Street in Lekki Phase 1.
