Lagos Residents Spend N13 Trillion Monthly on Electricity, Says Commissioner Ogunleye

The Lagos State Government has revealed that residents collectively spend over N13 trillion each month on electricity, a figure that is unsustainable due to the ongoing issues with unreliable power supply.

 This information was shared by the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Biodun Ogunleye, during a press briefing on Thursday at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Ikeja. The briefing was held in anticipation of the upcoming Lagos Energy Summit, scheduled for April 15-18, 2025
