Kabiru Turaki-led PDP Rejects Faction Claims, Accuses INEC of Bias

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), under Kabiru Turaki, has dismissed allegations of parallel leadership within the party and accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of bias.

INEC had refused to recognise the Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) as the party’s legitimate leadership, citing multiple court rulings and noting that the issue remains sub judice.

 In a letter dated December 22, the commission stated it could not take administrative action that might pre-empt ongoing legal proceedings linked to the PDP convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.
