According to the former Liverpool manager, star forward Mohamed Salah personally encouraged him to sign Jota. 

Klopp explained that Salah was a big admirer of the Portuguese forward’s style of play and believed he would fit perfectly into Liverpool’s attacking system.

> “It’s true that it was Mo Salah who tried to convince me to sign Diogo Jota,” Klopp said. “He spoke very highly of him and felt he could add something special to the team.
