Jay-Z Responds to Lawsuit Alleging Assault at 2000 Party
US rapper Jay-Z has publicly responded to a lawsuit claiming he and Sean "Diddy" Combs drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl at a party in 2000.
The anonymous accuser alleges that the assault occurred during an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in New York, with an unnamed female celebrity present at the scene.
In his statement, Jay-Z characterized the legal action as a "blackmail attempt," firmly denying the allegations. Sean Combs, currently in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking and other charges, has also rejected the accusations.
The lawsuit was initially filed in October and was refiled on Sunday to include Jay-Z as a defendant.
