Former Minister of Transportation and ex-Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has opened up about his tough childhood and how poverty shaped his early years.

In a recent interview with Daily Sun, Amaechi recalled growing up in Port Harcourt under extremely challenging conditions. “We could barely afford three meals a day or even a change of clothes,” he said. “I wore the same shirt and trousers for almost four years. Some people find it hard to believe, but my old classmates can confirm it.”
