Former Special Senior Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Public Affairs, Aliyu Audu, has explained his decision to step down, stating he couldn’t serve in a government he was secretly working against.

Audu made this disclosure following his resignation from his post, emphasizing that it would be a conflict of interest and a breach of loyalty for him to remain while simultaneously planning for President Tinubu’s removal in the 2027 general elections.

“It would be dishonest for me to be a member of his administration and, at the same time, be involved in efforts to unseat him when the time comes in 2027,” Audu said in a brief statement.
