Hon. Daniel Asama Ago, the lawmaker representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency of Plateau State, has officially defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Daniel Asama Ago, the lawmaker representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency of Plateau State, has officially defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His defection was announced and comes as part of a wave of political realignments in the National Assembly.
Ago joins five other lawmakers who also switched allegiance to the ruling APC.
With these six new defections, the APC has now increased its strength in the House of Representatives to 242 members, officially securing a two thirds majority.
