Go Home to Your Parents – Bauchi NYSC Coordinator Advises Female Corps Members

The Bauchi State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Yakubu, has urged female corps members to return home to their parents after completing their mandatory service year.

Speaking during the certificate distribution for the 2024 Batch 'A' Stream II corps members on March 27, 2025, she advised them not to move in with their boyfriends, stating,
"Ladies, please remember that your boyfriends are not your parents. Go home and celebrate this milestone with your family."

She also encouraged corps members to utilize the skills acquired through the NYSC's Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme and avoid idleness.

"Instead of staying idle, find something productive to do. Use your last allowance wisely—invest in learning a trade."

Furthermore, she warned against involvement in crime, including internet fraud, kidnapping, and ritual killings, emphasizing the importance of honest and legal means of livelihood
