Ghana's President John Mahama Bans First-Class Travel for Government Officials
In a bid to reduce public expenditure amid economic challenges, Ghana's President John Mahama has announced a ban on first-class travel for all government appointees.
During the swearing-in ceremony for new ministers at the Jubilee House, Mahama emphasized the importance of fiscal responsibility.
He stated that all non-essential travel would be prohibited, requiring the Chief of Staff to approve any necessary trips.
"Any travel that is deemed essential and necessary must be cleared first with the Office of the Chief of Staff, and such travels will have to be taken in modesty—no first class," Mahama declared
