Ghanaian Teacher Who Taught MS Word Without a Computer Sparks Change

In 2018, Ghanaian teacher Richard Appiah Akoto gained global recognition for teaching Microsoft Word to students using only chalk drawings due to a lack of computers.

His dedication earned him an invitation to Microsoft’s Educator Exchange in Singapore, where he was celebrated for his creativity.

Thanks to support from Microsoft and other organizations, his village, Sekyedomase, now has two computer centers, ensuring better access to digital education.
