Fuel Price Surges to N970 Per Litre

Motorists and residents in parts of Lagos, Abuja, and Ogun State are grappling with a sudden hike in petrol prices, as pump prices have reportedly risen to between N930 and N970 per litre.

Fuel stations that previously sold petrol at N865 per litre earlier on Saturday reportedly increased prices later in the day following directives from suppliers.

The hike is believed to be linked to recent statements by oil marketers, who revealed that the landing cost of imported petrol had surged by N88 per litre within a week.
