FG to Clear Verified Outstanding Payments Owed to Contractors

The Federal Government has pledged to settle all outstanding payments owed to contractors who have successfully completed verified projects across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

In a statement released by Mr. Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, the government stressed that only properly awarded contracts that meet all required specifications will be honored.

“The Federal Government keeps accurate records of contracts executed by MDAs and ensures that payments are made with strict attention to value for money,” Mokwa stated. “Current efforts are focused on paying for contracts that were legitimately awarded and fully completed.”
