Rory McIlroy had plenty of well-wishers lined up after his monumental win at the Masters on Sunday, a victory that crowned him with the elusive career Grand Slam. 

But one emotional moment stood out as cameras captured him sharing a heartfelt hug with Kate Rose wife of his longtime friend and rival, Justin Rose.

The 35-year-old golf star, having just sealed his victory in a playoff, was visibly moved as he embraced Kate for about 12 seconds in a powerful moment that followed celebrations with his wife, Erica, and their daughter, Poppy.

Kate Rose, who had stood beside Erica as McIlroy made the final putt to clinch the title, warmly congratulated him despite the tough loss for her husband, who was McIlroy’s opponent in the dramatic playoff.
