“Don’t Take Your Life – It’s Temporary”: Nigerian Man Shares Powerful Message 11 Years After Surviving Suicide Attempt
A Nigerian man, Ekpo Bassey Belano, has shared an emotional reflection on how he overcame suicidal thoughts 11 years ago.
In a heartfelt post, he recalled being buried in debt, battling a gambling addiction, and feeling abandoned by loved ones.
What saved him? A message from the late Dr. Myles Munroe: “Never apply a permanent solution to a temporary problem.”
Ekpo urged others battling dark moments to hold on, keep fighting, and trust that difficult seasons will pass. “Prepare for opportunities that will break the chains of mediocrity,” he said, ending with a powerful wish: “I wish you prosperity and a flourishing soul.”
On May 16, 2014, he had posted a goodbye message on Facebook. Today, he’s alive and inspiring others.
