Davido Says Wife Chioma Carries a “Special Grace” Over His Life and Career

Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed the profound spiritual connection he shares with his wife, Chioma, describing her presence in his life as a unique source of grace and influence.

During a candid interview on the Breakfast Club Podcast, Davido opened up about the deep bond they’ve shared since their youth and how disagreements with her often result in negative turns in his career.

"Since we were young, she’s had this hold over me,” he said. “Every time I fight her, something bad happens. I swear. She’ll even joke, ‘You’re fighting me? Don’t worry, your album is coming.’ She carries a special grace over me, the kids, everything.”

Davido also spoke about Chioma's natural nurturing spirit, praising her seamless relationship with his children, including those she didn’t give birth to.

“I used to be scared to bring my other kids around her,” he admitted. “But the way things have evolved, the love just came naturally. I didn’t even have to say, ‘This is your sister.’ It just happened.”
