Cyclone Chido Devastates Mozambique, Causing 94 Deaths

Cyclone Chido has caused significant destruction in Mozambique, leading to the deaths of 94 people after making landfall on December 15. 

With winds reaching 260 km/h (160 mph) and over 250mm of rainfall within the first 24 hours, the cyclone wreaked havoc across the region.

The National Institute of Risk and Disaster Management reported that 768 individuals were injured, and more than 622,000 people have been affected by this natural disaster.

 In response to the crisis, Daniel Chapo, leader of Mozambique's ruling party, announced that the government is mobilizing support at all levels to assist those impacted by the cyclone.
