Burkina Faso Forces Crush Terrorist Hideout in Major Eastern Operation
Burkina Faso’s military has dealt a decisive blow to insurgents in the country’s east, near the border with Niger.
In an operation led by the elite Battalion of Rapid Intervention 24 (BIR 24), over 100 terrorists were neutralized and several others captured alive.
The BIR 24 is one of the highly trained special units formed after Captain Ibrahim Traoré assumed leadership and restructured the nation’s armed forces.
