Singer Brown Joel has set the record straight about the popular perception that he and his collaborators on the hit track "Ogechi" form a group called the "Ogechi boys." 

In a recent video statement, Brown Joel emphasized that they are not a formal group but rather friends and individual artists.

He explained, “We're not a group. We're friends and individual artists. There's no contract binding us as a crew.” Brown Joel also took a subtle dig at streaming statistics, adding, “When you get to a concert, real humans will sing for you. Not digital numbers.”
