11-time WNBA All-Star Nneka Ogwumike has announced that she will retire from the WNBA following the 2026 season, revealing the news in an exclusive interview with Taylor Rooks for Boardroom. 

Ogwumike, 36, leaves the league after a remarkable 15-year career that includes a 2016 WNBA championship, 2016 MVP award and Rookie of the Year honors. She is also currently the president of the WNBA players’ union. 

She currently ranks among the WNBA’s all-time leaders in scoring and rebounding, making her retirement the end of one of the league’s most decorated careers.
