Benue Governor’s Aide Arrested

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Dr. Mkor Aondona, the Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research, and Planning, over serious allegations of sextortion and cyberbullying.

Dr. Aondona was apprehended on Friday, June 20, 2025, by operatives from the EFCC’s Makurdi Zonal Directorate following complaints filed by several female students.

 The petitioners accused the governor’s aide of engaging in sexual exploitation, blackmail, and online harassment.

According to the reports, Aondona allegedly lured young, slim, and attractive girls under the guise of offering ushering jobs but made sexual favors a condition for selection.
