Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on the federal government to give a clear breakdown of the N17.5 trillion reportedly used for oil pipeline security in 2024.

The figure contained in the NNPC Limited’s audited financial statement reflects what the company claims to have spent safeguarding petroleum infrastructure during the year.

In a statement released on Sunday through his media aide, Atiku urged the government to clarify how such an unprecedented amount was utilized, stressing that Nigerians deserve full transparency on public spending.
