Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she plans to decide whether she will run for president in 2028 after the 2026 midterm elections.

In an interview with The New York Times, the 36-year-old New York congresswoman also questioned whether a Latina could be elected president in today’s political climate.

Ocasio-Cortez has not announced a 2028 presidential campaign, leaving the possibility open as she focuses on the upcoming political cycle.
