Anambra Police Arrest Woman Over Alleged Exploitation of Minor, Rescue Four Children

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old woman, identified as Anulika Onyeanusia, over allegations that she involved a minor in the production of sexually explicit content in Onitsha.

According to the police, a disturbing video allegedly involving the suspect and a minor was reported to the command, prompting an investigation and her subsequent arrest.

The operation also led to the rescue of four children, aged 2, 3, 6 and 9, while items described as relevant to the investigation were recovered.

Police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga said the suspect remains in custody as investigators work to establish the full circumstances of the case and determine whether other individuals were involved. Her husband is also being questioned as part of the investigation.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Nanna Oji Ama, described the allegations as deeply disturbing and directed a thorough investigation, while ensuring that the rescued children receive appropriate care and protection.

The suspect, however, has denied the allegations, claiming that the videos circulating online were AI-generated.
