7,000 Nigerians Trapped in Libya
The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri Erewa, has revealed that more than 7,000 Nigerians are currently stranded in Libya.
She explained that many of them had embarked on irregular migration in search of better opportunities but are now stuck in difficult conditions.
According to her, efforts are ongoing to facilitate their safe return home through various repatriation and reintegration programs.
