The 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles will introduce mixed-gender competitions in several sports, marking a significant step towards gender equality in the Games, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Wednesday. A total of 11,198 athletes will participate, with new mixed events in artistic gymnastics, track and field, golf, archery, table tennis, and coastal rowing.
