14 Soldiers Arrested Following Failed Coup Attempt in Benin
Authorities in Benin have confirmed the arrest of 14 soldiers linked to last week’s attempted coup.
The detained personnel are believed to be members of the so called Military Committee for Refoundation, which had sought to overthrow the government but was quickly subdued by forces loyal to President Patrice Talon.
Security officials report that order has been fully restored in Cotonou, with state institutions and media operations now back under government control.
