Two Nabbed for Illegal Waste Dumping on Ikorodu-Itowolo Highway in Lagos

Lagos State authorities have arrested two individuals for unlawfully dumping refuse along the Ikorodu-Itowolo expressway. 

According to a statement shared by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the incident occurred early Tuesday morning, June 11, 2025.

Officials from LAWMA’s Monitoring and Compliance Department apprehended the suspects at the scene.

 Their vehicle was seized and moved to LAWMA’s Ogudu facility, while both individuals were handed over to the Environmental Sanitation Corps for prosecution.
