Outrage in Utah as Police Officer Allegedly Slams Woman to the Ground During Protest Over Data Centre Ordinance
Concerned residents in Utah County have expressed outrage after the County Planning Commission unanimously approved a controversial data centre ordinance on Tuesday without allowing members of the public to speak.
Tensions reportedly escalated when police moved against residents at the meeting. In one disturbing incident, officers allegedly swarmed a young woman, dragged her out of the room and slammed her onto the ground. She reportedly suffered a concussion and a bruised, swollen jaw, spending the night in the emergency room after being released from jail.
Following the incident, an emergency rally was organised for Wednesday, with community members demanding the dismissal, arrest and prosecution of the officer identified as Phil Crawford
