Mark Carney, former Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, has recently been elected as Canada's new Prime Minister.
However, his past associations have come under scrutiny due to resurfaced photographs from 2013, showing him alongside convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell at a British festival held at Cornbury Park, the estate of his sister-in-law, Lady Tania Rotherwick.
Carney's representatives have downplayed these images, stating that he is not friends with Maxwell and that their encounters were incidental. They emphasize that the photographs are over a decade old and do not indicate any ongoing association.
