Man Arrested After Breakup with Ex-DIG's Daughter

The Nigeria Police Force has reportedly set stringent bail conditions for David Nwokorie, who was arrested following a breakup with Genevieve Opara, the daughter of retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hilary Opara. Genevieve, a Deputy Manager at the National Pension Commission and married to FRSC official Seal Nwaka, accused Nwokorie of cyberstalking and blackmail, which led to his arrest by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore intervened, calling on the Commissioner of Police at the National Cybercrime Centre to secure David’s release.
