FG Commits N110 Billion to Upgrade 18 Medical Schools in Bid to Curb Mass Medical Migration
In a move aimed at tackling the rising wave of medical professionals leaving Nigeria a trend popularly referred to as “japa” the Federal Government has earmarked N110 billion for the rehabilitation of 18 medical universities across the country.
Each institution is set to receive roughly N4 billion, with N750 million specifically allocated for the construction of hostels to improve student living conditions.
