Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu: President Tinubu Recognizes Ndigbo After 54 Years

Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu has praised President Tinubu for his efforts to acknowledge and support the Ndigbo community, stating that he is the only leader to do so meaningfully since the civil war ended 54 years ago.

 Kalu referenced the historical context of the civil war, which lasted from July 6, 1967, to January 13, 1970, and the subsequent three Rs program—reconstruction, rehabilitation, and reintegration—launched by former military ruler Yakubu Gowon to heal the nation.
